Personalised Newborn Name Sign

Give their first introduction a keepsake of its own. This personalised newborn name sign combines a cut-out Hello World greeting, a raised painted first name and a little engraved teddy bear. Optional middle names or a surname sit beneath the first name, ready for the photograph that introduces your baby to family and friends.

We make each wooden sign to order in our family workshop in Hull, UK. Its shaped top and rounded corners give it a distinctive outline, while the pale birch and carefully engraved details keep your baby's name at the centre of the picture.

A little sign for their name reveal

Place it beside their first outfit, include it in a hospital-bag flat lay or use it for a brief, supervised newborn photograph. Afterwards, keep it with their first cards and photographs as a reminder of the day everyone learnt their name. It also makes a personal new baby or baby shower gift when the name has already been chosen.

• Raised first name: separate wooden lettering, painted in your selected colour.
• Optional engraved names: add middle names, a surname or both beneath the first name.

How to personalise your sign

1. Select the size. Choose Regular, Medium or XL from the size menu.
2. Choose the name colour. This colour applies to the raised first name. The main plaque remains natural birch.
3. Enter the first name in the required field. For example, Noah or Lilly-Mae. This is the name we make in raised, painted wooden letters.
4. Add any extra names in the optional field. For example, Samuel Jack McCarthy or Maeva Cullen. These are engraved into the wood below the first name. Leave this field empty if you would like the first name only.
5. Check every letter before adding to your basket. Include the spelling, capitals, spaces, hyphens and apostrophes exactly as required.

Example: first name Noah + additional names Samuel Jack McCarthy gives you a raised painted Noah with Samuel Jack McCarthy engraved beneath it. You do not need to type Hello World, MY NAME IS or request the teddy — these are included in the standard design.

Please enter names only in the personalisation fields. We arrange the lettering to suit the names supplied; longer names may need smaller lettering. If you have a particularly long name or would like different wording, please contact us before ordering so we can check the layout with you.

Sizes and name colours

• Regular: approximately 13 × 13 cm.
• Medium: approximately 17 × 17 cm.
• XL: approximately 20 × 20 cm.

Choose Pastel Blue, Pastel Pink, White, Beige, Grey, Gold, Brown or Sage Green for the raised name. Beige is our soft champagne-toned neutral. The greeting, MY NAME IS wording, additional names and teddy detail keep their natural engraved finish.

The colour guide and close-up photographs show the finishes and layered lettering. Wood grain and engraved tones vary naturally between pieces, and screen settings can affect how a painted colour appears.

What arrives with your order?

Your order includes one personalised wooden newborn name sign in the size and name colour selected. Blankets, soft toys, flowers and other styling accessories shown in the photographs are not included.

We usually dispatch on the next working day. This is the time needed to make and send your order; please also allow for delivery. Available postage options and estimates are shown at checkout. If you need it for a particular date, get in touch before ordering.
