PRODUCT DETAILS
That first glimpse deserves a place in your story. Our personalised baby scan photo frame turns your printed ultrasound photograph into a wooden pregnancy announcement, with your chosen name and due date engraved beneath it. Share the news with family, surprise grandparents-to-be or capture a photograph to announce your little one's arrival.
Supplied with a wooden stand and 2 mini wooden pegs, the sign is ready for you to add your own printed scan photograph. The natural birch wood, dark engraved lettering and delicate botanical detail make a simple keepsake of the weeks before you meet.
Your first scan, your family's news
Clip your scan photograph to the cord using the two included pegs, then place the plaque on its stand for a shelf, sideboard or announcement display. The open photo-holder design lets the scan sit in front of the wood, with the engraved name, “coming soon” or your chosen short message, and due date below.
Use it for a pregnancy reveal in person, a photograph to send to loved ones or a surprise for grandparents-to-be. Afterwards, keep it with your pregnancy photographs as a reminder of the first time you saw your baby.
What is included?
- 1 personalised wooden baby scan sign, engraved with the name and due date you provide.
- 1 wooden display stand for a freestanding display on a flat surface.
- 2 mini wooden pegs to hold your printed scan photograph on the cord.
The scan photograph and other styling accessories shown in the photographs are not included. You attach your own print at home; no photo upload is needed when ordering.
Size, material and finish
- Sign size: approximately 18 cm wide × 14 cm high.
- Material: natural 3 mm birch plywood.
- Design: a landscape wooden plaque with rounded corners, a cord photo holder and engraved botanical details.
- Personalisation: engraved directly into the wood, with “coming soon” between the name and date as standard, or your own short replacement phrase.
- Photo display: an open clip-on holder, without a glass cover.
Each piece has its own natural wood grain and tone, so slight differences in colour and engraving are part of the material. The measurements refer to the wooden sign, not the size of the scan photograph.
How to personalise your baby scan frame
- Name / wording to engrave: enter the complete name line exactly as you would like it to appear, for example Baby Smith or Baby Richardson. Include the word “Baby” if you want it on the sign.
- Due date: enter the date wording you want engraved, for example March 2027 or 15 March 2027.
- Alternative to “coming soon” — optional: leave this field blank to keep “coming soon”, or enter a short replacement phrase such as Our little miracle.
- Check your personalisation before checkout. Check spelling, capital letters, spaces and the date carefully. Your personalisation is engraved using the details you supply.
Example order:
Name / wording to engrave: Baby Smith
Due date: March 2027
Alternative to “coming soon”: leave blank
Your sign will read: Baby Smith / coming soon / March 2027, with space above for your own printed scan.
You do not need to know your baby's first name: “Baby” followed by your surname works for an early pregnancy announcement. For a particularly long inscription, twins or a change to the standard layout, please contact us before ordering so we can check the design will fit.
How to display your scan photograph
Place the sign on the supplied stand on a stable, flat surface. Position your printed scan on the cord and secure it with the 2 included pegs. Choose a print that leaves the personalised engraving visible. Scan print sizes vary, so compare your photograph with the 18 × 14 cm sign before displaying it.
For an announcement photograph, set the frame where the name and due date can be seen clearly. Keep an original scan safely stored and use a copy for display if you prefer.
Frequently asked questions
Does the baby scan frame come with a stand?
Yes. One wooden display stand is included with the personalised sign, so you can display it upright on a flat surface.
Are the pegs included, and how many do I receive?
Yes. You receive 2 mini wooden pegs to clip your printed scan photograph to the cord.
What can I personalise?
You can personalise the engraved name line and due date, and optionally replace “coming soon” with your own short phrase in the third field. Leave that optional field blank to keep “coming soon”. The botanical detail remains part of the design.
Should I include the word Baby?
Yes, if you want it engraved. Enter the complete line, such as “Baby Smith”, rather than just “Smith”. This makes your chosen wording clear.
Can I order before we have chosen a first name?
Yes. Use “Baby” with your family surname, such as “Baby Richardson”. You do not need to have chosen a first name.
Do I need an exact due date?
No. You can use a month and year, such as “March 2027”, or a full date if you prefer. Enter the wording you want to appear on the sign.
Do I need to upload my scan photograph?
No. We engrave your chosen wording and supply the photo holder. You attach your own printed scan with the included pegs after it arrives.
Is the scan image engraved into the wood?
No. This design holds a printed scan photograph using the cord and pegs. The name, “coming soon” or your chosen replacement phrase, date and decorative details are engraved into the wooden plaque.
What size is the sign, and will my scan fit?
The sign measures approximately 18 cm wide × 14 cm high. Scan prints vary in size; compare your print with these dimensions and position it so that the engraved wording remains visible. There is no fixed glass-covered photo opening.
Can I use it to announce a pregnancy to grandparents?
Yes. Add your scan photograph and display or present the sign when you share your news. The engraved surname and due date make it a personal keepsake for your family.
Can I replace “coming soon” with my own text?
Yes. Use the Alternative to “coming soon” (Optional) field to enter your short replacement phrase, for example “Our little miracle”. Leave it blank to keep the standard “coming soon” wording. Check spelling and capitals before checkout.
Can you make a version for twins or change the layout?
Please contact us before ordering a different layout or a particularly long inscription, so we can check what will fit.
Will every wooden plaque look exactly the same?
No. Birch plywood has natural variations in grain and tone. The personalised wording will also differ according to the details you provide.
How should I care for the sign?
Display indoors, keep dry and dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid soaking the wood or leaving the sign and scan photograph in direct sunlight.
Is it suitable for a baby to play with?
This is a decorative keepsake and photo prop, not a toy. Keep the sign, stand, cord and small pegs out of children's reach.
