How to personalise your family bauble

1. Choose your character count. Count every adult, child, baby and pet you want shown. The “up to 4” option is £10; select the exact number in the next box. For 5–12 characters, choose the matching option. Each character above four adds £1.
2. Choose each illustration, from left to right. Select a character type and enter its name or family role in the matching box. Only the fields for your chosen number of characters appear.
3. Add your Christmas year. Enter the four-digit year you want engraved, such as 2026. A past or future year is welcome.
4. Check your details. We use the spellings and order you provide. Optional wording or layout instructions can be added in the extra notes box.

Available character types: Grandma, Grandad, Dad, Mum, Boy, Girl, Baby boy, Baby girl, Cat and Dog. The character guide is in the gallery and beside the personalisation fields. You can choose the same type more than once.

Example: first Christmas as a family of three

Year: 2026. This creates the family-of-three design shown in the photos, with the name line “Dad, Mum & Noah”. For a family of four or five, add the extra character types and names in the order you want them shown.

What you receive

One personalised wooden family Christmas tree decoration with a cream hanging ribbon. Your selected character illustrations, names and year are included in the price. Photo props, gift boxes and wrapping shown for styling are not included.

Each bauble is made from natural wood, so grain, tone and engraving shade can vary slightly. The photos show example personalisations; your bauble will be made with your own details.

Frequently asked questions

Can I order a first Christmas as a family of three, four or five bauble?

Yes. All three designs are available, along with larger families up to 12 characters. Three or four characters cost £10, five cost £11, and each extra character adds £1, up to £18 for 12. Choose the total number of figures you want on your bauble.

Do babies and pets count as characters?

Yes. Every person, baby, cat or dog shown counts as one character. For example, two adults, two children and a dog need the five-character option.

Can I include grandparents, two mums or two dads?

Yes. Choose any combination from the character guide, including repeated character types. The illustration choice is separate from the name, so you can choose Grandad and engrave “Grandpa”, “Gramps” or his first name.

How should I enter the names?

Enter one name or family role for each character, from left to right, using the individual boxes. Each name can be up to 20 characters. Please check spelling and capital letters before adding to your basket. The names are engraved together in the name line shown in the examples.

Can I choose a different year or family wording?

You can enter any four-digit year. The standard design reads “1st Christmas as a family of…” with the family size. If you would like different family wording, add your request in the optional notes box or contact us before ordering to check it will fit.

Do I need to upload a photograph?

No. Choose from the 10 illustrated character options shown in the guide. These are stylised engraved figures rather than portraits created from photographs.

Is this a round glass bauble?

This is a flat wooden ornament, laser cut and engraved from 3mm birch plywood, with a cream ribbon. The tree and snowflake cut-out details give it the festive shape shown in the photos.

When will my personalised bauble be dispatched?

Orders are usually dispatched the next working day. Standard UK delivery is free, and available delivery upgrades are shown at checkout. Dispatch time is separate from delivery time; please check our shipping policy when ordering for a particular date.

How do I look after my wooden Christmas decoration?

Use indoors, keep dry and wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Store carefully between Christmases to protect the cut-out details. This keepsake is a decoration and should be kept out of reach of small children and pets.
