Your message is laser engraved into natural birch plywood and supplied with a wooden display stand, so it can stay on their desk long after the leaving party.

The whole message is yours to personalise. Keep the playful “You are dead to us” design shown in the photographs, or replace every line with your own heading, message and names. The new job, retirement and thank-you photographs are examples of what your wording could look like.

The pale wood grain and dark engraved lettering create a simple, warm finish. Each card is cut from approximately 3 mm birch plywood, with a separate slot-in base for freestanding display on a desk, shelf or sideboard.

How to personalise your card

1. Choose your wording: use the funny leaving design pictured or write a completely new message.
2. Enter the full text in the personalisation box: include your heading or occasion, recipient's name if wanted, message and sign-off. Use slashes to show suggested line breaks.
3. Check the details: we use the spelling, names and punctuation you provide. Shorter messages allow larger, clearer lettering.

Keeping the pictured design? Write “Standard leaving design” followed by your personalised bottom message and names. Example: Standard leaving design / Goodbye and good luck, / Emma, Jack & Sophie x.

Natural wood varies in grain and shade, and engraving can vary slightly from piece to piece. Flowers, stationery and other styling accessories shown in the photographs are not included. Wipe gently with a dry cloth and keep away from moisture.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change all the text?

Yes. You can replace the entire front message, including the heading, main wording and names. Please enter every word you would like engraved.

Can I keep the funny “You are dead to us” design?

Yes. Enter “Standard leaving design” followed by your preferred bottom message and names. This tells us to keep the main leaving design shown in the photographs.

Can this be a new job or retirement card?

Yes. Write your own congratulations or retirement message. The examples in the gallery show different ways to personalise the same wooden card.

Can I add a message from the whole team?

Yes. Include the names or your team name in the sign-off. If there are many names, a short team sign-off will keep the lettering easier to read.

How should I show line breaks?

Separate your suggested lines with a slash, for example: Happy Retirement / David / From all the team x. We may adjust the layout to fit your words.

How much text can I include?

Keep your message concise enough for a 14 × 10 cm panel. More wording means smaller lettering. Contact us before ordering if you have a long message or a specific layout to discuss.

Is it a folding paper card?

It is a flat, laser-engraved wooden keepsake card, supplied with a separate wooden base for display.

What size is it?

The upright wooden panel measures approximately 14 cm high × 10 cm wide and is approximately 3 mm thick. These measurements refer to the card panel.

Is the display stand included?

Yes. Your order includes the engraved wooden card and a separate slot-in wooden base.

Can I see a preview?

A preview is available on request. Please contact us before production if you would like to check the wording or discuss the layout.

Will the wood look exactly like the photographs?

Birch is a natural material, so the grain, shade and engraving tone can vary slightly. Photographs show example wording and styling.

When will my card be dispatched?

We aim to dispatch on the next working day once your complete personalisation details are received. Please check the delivery estimate shown when ordering; delivery time is additional to production time.

Can I change my personalisation after ordering?

Contact us as soon as possible. We can usually make changes before production starts, but cannot change wording once it has been engraved.

Can a personalised card be returned?

Personalised items cannot be returned simply because you change your mind. If your order arrives damaged, faulty or different from the details you supplied, contact us so we can help.
