Isn't She Lovely

Choose this option if you would like both messages available before your baby arrives. You receive one plaque, with a different design on each side — not two separate plaques. Turn it over to display the message you want in your photograph. Both sides are the same size.

Which size should I choose?

Measurements are approximate and refer to the diameter of the round plaque. Every size is made from 3 mm birch plywood. The size comparison image in the gallery shows the three options together so you can judge the difference before ordering.

No name, date or birth details are needed for the standard designs. Your chosen phrase is engraved as shown in the photographs. For example, selecting Large — 15 cm and Isn't She Lovely orders one 15 cm plaque with that design on one side. Selecting Both Designs — Double-sided orders one plaque with both messages, one on each side.

If you would like different wording or an additional detail, contact us before ordering so we can confirm what is possible and whether the price changes. Please do not assume that a note at checkout automatically changes the standard design.

Ideas for your first announcement photograph

For a simple newborn announcement, place the sign on a separate surface beside a folded muslin and a pair of booties, with the lettering facing the camera. Soft window light brings out the natural grain and keeps the engraved wording clear. Leave a little space around the plaque so it remains fully visible when the photograph is cropped for social media.

Natural wood and engraved detail

Each plaque has its own birch grain, with natural variations in colour and small markings. Laser cutting can leave a darker edge, and the appearance of the engraving can vary slightly with the grain and lighting. These natural differences mean your keepsake will have its own character.

Handle gently, keep dry and store flat. Dust with a soft, dry cloth; do not soak or use abrasive cleaners. This is a decorative photo prop and keepsake. An adult should position it safely for photographs; keep it away from your baby's face and body and remove it before sleep. Do not leave it in a cot or within a child's reach.

How thick is the wood?
