Penguin Bauble

A little winter character with their name at the heart of it. This penguin bauble pairs a cosy engraved hat and scarf with a personalised name on its pale wooden belly, finished with a soft sage green satin ribbon.

Made from 3 mm birch plywood, this flat personalised penguin Christmas decoration brings natural wood and cheerful detail to your tree. Choose one name to turn it into a thoughtful Christmas keepsake for a child, a penguin lover or someone who deserves their own special ornament.

A penguin Christmas bauble with thoughtful little details

The patterned winter hat, ribbed scarf, tiny flippers and snowflake make this penguin easy to fall for. Dark laser engraving contrasts with the light birch, while the visible wood grain keeps each decoration feeling natural. The name sits on the belly beneath the snowflake, making it easy to spot among the branches.

• Personalised for them: one chosen name engraved on the front.
• Natural material: a single flat piece of nominal 3 mm birch plywood.
• Winter character: a penguin wearing a patterned bobble hat and scarf.
• Ready to hang: sage green satin ribbon included.
• A keepsake to bring out each Christmas: suitable for indoor seasonal display.
• Individual character: subtle variations in grain and engraving are part of natural wood.

Made for the tree, remembered for the name

Hang your wooden penguin bauble against fresh green branches, pair it with cream and sage decorations, or add it to a colourful family Christmas tree. Its flat shape lets the engraved details and name take centre stage without needing a large display space.

It is also a lovely way to give each child their own Christmas ornament. Brothers, sisters and cousins can have matching penguins with different names, so everyone has a decoration to look for when the tree comes out again. Order each name separately to keep the personalisation clear.

How to personalise your penguin bauble

1. Enter one name in the required “Name to engrave” box. For example: Noah.
2. Check the spelling, capital letters and punctuation. We use the name you submit, so please enter it exactly as you want it engraved.
3. Add any order instructions separately in “Order notes (optional)”. These notes are not engraved.
4. Add your bauble to the basket. For another name, return to the product page, enter the next name and add that ornament separately.

Enter the name only, without “Name:”, a date or extra wording. One name is included in the price. Longer names are sized to fit the available space, so their lettering may be smaller than the example shown. The photographs show Noah as an example; your ornament will carry the name you provide.

If you would like extra wording, a date or a different layout, please contact us before ordering to check what is possible.

Size, material and what is included

This is a flat wooden ornament, rather than a round glass bauble or a freestanding figure. Trees, parcels and styling accessories in the photographs are not included. It is supplied without a gift box or stand.

A small Christmas gift with a personal touch

A name makes a simple decoration feel like it belongs to someone. This personalised penguin ornament works beautifully as a Christmas gift for children, a stocking filler for a penguin fan or a small keepsake tucked into a Christmas Eve box.

You can also tie it to a wrapped present as a reusable name gift tag. Once the gift is opened, the penguin can move onto the tree. For a first Christmas, choose the little one's name for a keepsake they can enjoy in later years; this design includes a name only, with no year as standard.

Natural wood, engraving and care

Birch is a natural material, so the grain, shade and small markings vary from piece to piece. Laser engraving creates darker details and cut edges, with some variation in tone across the grain. Your bauble will follow the same design, but the wood will not be identical to the photographed example.

Display indoors and keep away from moisture. If needed, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Store somewhere dry between Christmases, protecting the hanging loop and small details from pressure. This is a decorative keepsake, not a toy; keep it out of reach of young children.

We aim to dispatch on the same working day where possible, and no later than the next working day after payment and complete personalisation details are received. Working days exclude weekends and bank holidays. Dispatch time is separate from delivery time: check the delivery options at checkout and our shipping policy for current information.

Penguin bauble FAQs

1. Can I personalise this penguin bauble with any name?

Yes, enter your chosen name in the required “Name to engrave” field. One name is included. Check spelling, capitals and punctuation before adding it to your basket.

2. Where is the name engraved?

The name is engraved on the front of the penguin's belly, beneath the snowflake. Noah in the photographs is an example of the personalisation.

3. What size is the penguin ornament?

It is approximately 15 cm high and 9.2 cm wide, cut from nominal 3 mm birch plywood. Height includes the wooden hanging loop but excludes the ribbon.

4. Is it a flat wooden decoration?

Yes. It is made from one flat piece of birch plywood with engraved details on the front. It is designed to hang and does not stand up on its own.

5. Is the sage green ribbon included?

Yes, your penguin comes with a sage green satin hanging ribbon. The ornament and one engraved name are included in the listed price.

6. How do I order several penguins with different names?

Add each name as a separate item: enter the first name, add it to your basket, then repeat for the next name. Check every item and its personalisation before checkout.

7. Will a longer name fit?

Names are sized to fit the available space. A longer name may use smaller lettering than the example. Please enter one name only; contact us before ordering if your request includes additional wording.

8. Can I add a year or a message?

The standard design includes one name only. Please contact us before ordering if you would like a date, extra wording or a different layout, so we can check whether your request is possible.

9. Will my order notes be engraved?

No. Only the name entered in “Name to engrave” is used for the standard personalisation. “Order notes (optional)” is for instructions about your order.

10. Will the wood look exactly like the photographs?

The design stays the same, but natural grain, colour and engraving tone vary. Small differences are normal for a wooden Christmas decoration.

11. Is this suitable for a child's first Christmas?

It makes a lovely named keepsake for a first Christmas or any Christmas after that. It is a decoration for adults to hang and display, not a children's toy. A year is not included as standard.

12. Does it come with gift packaging?

A gift box is not included. You will receive one personalised penguin bauble with its sage green ribbon; gift wrapping, parcels and other styling props shown are not included.

13. When will my personalised penguin be dispatched?
