PRODUCT DETAILS
Turn your first scan picture into a personal pregnancy announcement with this personalised baby scan frame. The round wooden plaque is engraved with your surname and due date, with two miniature wooden pegs above the lettering to hold your own printed ultrasound photograph.
“BABY”, your surname, “COMING SOON” and your chosen date sit beneath the scan photo, finished with a small leafy branch. Natural birch grain and engraved lettering make it a keepsake you can photograph when sharing your news, then display while you count down to meeting your little one.
A wooden scan photo holder for your pregnancy reveal
This design brings your scan photograph and personal details together in one announcement. Hold it in front of your bump, include it in a photograph with your partner, or place it somewhere relatives can discover the news. It also makes a thoughtful keepsake for expectant parents who want to save a reminder of that first glimpse.
The scan is a separate printed photograph held by the pegs; it is not engraved into the wood. The surname and due date are engraved on the plaque. The ultrasound image in the photographs is a styling example: add your own printed scan picture to make the display yours.
How to personalise your baby scan frame
- Choose Medium or XL.
- Select Yes or No for extra Command strips.
- Enter the surname and due date exactly as you would like them engraved, for example Carter, October 2027.
- Check the spelling and date before adding the plaque to your basket.
The surname and due date are the personalised parts of this design. The fixed wording remains “BABY” and “COMING SOON”, with the leafy branch beneath. The photographs show “Carter, October 2023” as an example; your order will use the details you enter.
You do not need to submit a scan image for engraving. The frame is designed for you to attach your own printed scan photograph using the two small pegs. If you need different wording or have an unusually long surname, please contact us before ordering so we can discuss your request.
Materials, sizes and hanging option
- Material: laser-cut and engraved 3 mm birch plywood.
- Medium: approximately 20 × 20 cm.
- XL: approximately 23 × 23 cm.
- Photo display: two miniature wooden pegs on twine hold a separate printed scan photograph.
- Personalisation: your surname and due date.
- Extra Command strips: choose Yes to add them, or No without extra strips.
- Quantity: one personalised plaque in the size you select.
Check the size against your intended display space and scan print before choosing. The photographs show the design and styling ideas; scan photographs, booties, blankets and other decorative accessories are not included.
Birch is a natural material. Grain, shade and engraving tone can vary slightly between pieces, so your plaque may not look identical to the example photographs. These natural differences are part of the character of the wood.
Style your scan announcement
For a simple announcement photograph, place the plaque on a plain blanket near a window and keep the engraved details facing the camera. Alternatively, hold it with both hands for a family portrait or photograph it in front of your bump. Leave the surname, date and scan picture unobstructed so the message is easy to read.
After sharing the news, keep the plaque with your pregnancy mementoes or display it in a dry indoor space. If you select extra Command strips, follow the manufacturer's instructions for your surface and the product you receive.
Frequently asked questions
What can I personalise?
You can personalise the surname and due date. Enter both in the required box, for example “Carter, October 2027”. Check that the spelling and date match the wording you want engraved.
Is the ultrasound image engraved on the wood?
No. The scan is a separate printed photograph held by two miniature wooden pegs. Your surname and due date are engraved into the wooden plaque below it.
Is a scan photograph included?
No. The photograph shown is a styling example. Attach your own printed scan photograph to personalise the display.
Do I need to upload my scan image?
No scan upload is needed for this design. The plaque holds a printed photograph that you add yourself using the pegs.
What wording stays the same?
“BABY” and “COMING SOON” are part of the fixed design, together with the small leafy branch. The surname and date are changed to the details you provide.
Will my plaque say Carter and October 2023?
Only if those are the details you enter. They are the personalisation examples used in the photographs. Please enter your own surname and due date when ordering.
Which sizes can I choose?
Medium is approximately 20 × 20 cm and XL is approximately 23 × 23 cm. Both sizes use the same design and are made from 3 mm birch plywood.
How is the scan photograph held in place?
Two small wooden pegs clip the photograph onto the twine across the upper part of the plaque. The scan sits above the engraved surname and date.
What are the Yes and No options?
They refer to extra Command strips for hanging the plaque. Choose Yes to add extra strips or No if you do not need them. Select the option separately from your size.
Can I use it for a pregnancy announcement?
Yes. The scan photograph, surname and due date make it suitable for a pregnancy reveal photograph or a personal announcement to family and friends.
Can I change the wording or use a long surname?
Please contact us before ordering if you need different wording or are unsure whether your surname will fit the design. We can discuss the request before you place an order.
Will the wood and engraving look exactly like the photos?
Natural grain, wood shade and engraving tone vary slightly between pieces. The photographs show examples of the finished design.
How should I care for the plaque?
Keep it dry and handle the thin wood and miniature pegs gently. Avoid soaking it or using abrasive cleaners. Store it somewhere protected when it is not on display.
Is it a toy?
No. This is a decorative keepsake and photo prop with small parts. Keep it out of children's reach and supervise any photograph involving children.
