Our engraved baby name plaque pairs your baby's name with a little teddy bear, a delicate Hello World greeting and a satin ribbon. The names and illustration are engraved directly into natural birch plywood, giving this personalised wooden name plaque a simple, detailed finish for a newborn photograph and a keepsake to treasure afterwards.

The balloon silhouette frames a large script first name, with space beneath for a middle name, surname or other additional names. Choose a Blue, Pink or Cream ribbon to finish your design. The lettering stays engraved in the wood; the ribbon is the colour choice.

Set the plaque beside your baby for a supervised photograph, use it in a flat lay with their first outfit, or include it in a name announcement for family and friends. The small seated teddy adds a gentle detail without taking attention away from the name. Once those first photographs are taken, keep it with their early keepsakes or display it securely out of children's reach.

This is the fully engraved version of our balloon design. The first name, extra names, greeting and teddy are all engraved into the same wooden surface, rather than added as raised painted pieces.

How to personalise your plaque

1. Choose the size and ribbon using the product options above.
2. Enter the first name exactly as you want it engraved. This becomes the large script name, such as Teddy, Amelia or Oliver.
3. Add any extra names in the optional second field. This can be a middle name, more than one middle name or a surname. These appear in the smaller line beneath the first name. Leave this field blank for a first-name-only design.
4. Check spelling, capitals and punctuation before adding the plaque to your basket. The names in the photographs are examples and are not included automatically.

Example: first name “Teddy” and extra names “Jack” creates Teddy in the large script with Jack below. First name “Amelia” and extra names “Rose Bennett” creates Amelia with Rose Bennett underneath. We arrange the spacing to suit the wording; longer names may use smaller lettering. For an unusually long name or a particular layout, please contact us before ordering.

A wooden baby keepsake is a thoughtful choice when the baby's name has been chosen. It can be given to new parents, saved for the first name-reveal photograph, or added to a baby shower gift when the name is already known. Frequently asked questions

Is the name raised or engraved?

It is laser engraved directly into the birch plywood. The teddy and other wording are engraved too. This listing does not include a raised or hand-painted name.

Can I order just one name?

Yes. Enter the first name and leave the extra-names field blank. We will not copy Jack, Rose, James or any other example name from the photographs.

Can the second line be a surname?

Yes. The optional smaller line can hold middle names, a surname or both. Enter the exact wording you want on that line. Please ask before ordering if you need a long name or a specific arrangement.

What wording is included as standard?

The standard design reads “Hello World” and “my name is”, followed by your chosen names and the teddy illustration. You do not need to type the standard greeting. Contact us before ordering if you would like different introductory wording.

Does the ribbon colour change the name colour?

No. Blue, Pink and Cream refer to the ribbon only. The plaque remains natural wood with dark engraving. There is no painted-name colour selector for this design.

Which sizes are available?

Small is approximately 11 × 13 cm and Large is approximately 15 × 20 cm, excluding ribbon tails. Both use 3 mm birch plywood and the same teddy bear design.

Will the wood look exactly like the photographs?

Natural grain and shade vary from piece to piece, and the engraving tone can vary slightly. These natural differences make each plaque individual. Screen settings may also affect how ribbon colours appear.

When will my plaque be dispatched?

We usually dispatch on the next working day once the personalisation details are confirmed. Free standard UK delivery is available; delivery time depends on the service selected at checkout. Dispatch and delivery are separate stages.

How should I use and care for it?

This is a decorative photo prop and keepsake, not a toy. Use only under adult supervision, keep loose ribbon away from your baby, and remove the plaque after the photograph. Do not leave it in a cot or other sleep space. Display securely out of children's reach, keep dry and dust gently with a soft, dry cloth.

Can I check the design before it is made?

If you need a preview or help with a name, please contact us before production. Ask about any non-standard wording or layout before placing your order so we can confirm what will fit.
