Measurements are approximate wooden plaque width × height, including the wooden balloon end but excluding loose ribbon tails. The Small suits a close-up arrangement; the Large gives the lettering more presence in a wider photograph. The gallery includes a size comparison to help you choose.

Pink and Blue refer to the ribbon colour only. Both versions have natural wood with dark engraved lettering and a rainbow. The rainbow is engraved rather than painted in separate colours, and the name is not a raised wooden layer.

How to personalise your rainbow plaque

1. Select the size and ribbon using the product options.
2. Enter your baby's first name in the required first field, exactly as you want it engraved, including capitals and any punctuation. This is the large script name.
3. Add extra names in the optional second field. Enter a middle name, several middle names, a surname or a combination for the smaller line underneath. Leave it blank if you want the first name only.
4. Check both fields before adding to your basket. The names in the photographs are examples and are not added automatically.

Example: first name “Amelia” and extra names “Rose” gives Amelia in large script with Rose beneath it. For “Reuben James”, enter Reuben in the first field and James in the second. You can also enter “Rose Bennett” in the extra-names field when you want a middle name and surname on the smaller line.

The standard “Hello World” and “my name is” wording and rainbow are included, so you do not need to type them. We arrange spacing to suit your chosen names; longer wording may need smaller lettering. Please contact us before ordering if you need unusually long wording, a particular layout or a change to the introductory greeting.

Frequently asked questions

Is the rainbow painted or engraved?

The rainbow is laser engraved into the same birch plywood as the names and greeting. It has a natural engraved finish rather than painted rainbow colours.

Can I order a first name without a second line?

Yes. Enter the first name and leave the optional extra-names field blank. Rose, James and other names in the photographs are examples; we will not add them to your order.

Can I put a surname underneath the first name?

Yes. The smaller line can show a middle name, surname or both. Enter the exact wording in the optional field. For a long combination or a particular arrangement, please ask before ordering.

Do I need to type Hello World in the personalisation box?

No. “Hello World”, “my name is” and the rainbow are part of the standard design. Enter only the names you want. Please contact us before ordering if you would like different introductory wording.

Which colours can I choose?

You can select a Pink or Blue satin ribbon. The wood stays natural and the names and rainbow remain engraved. The ribbon guide in the gallery shows both options.

What are the plaque sizes?

Small is approximately 11 × 13 cm and Large is approximately 15 × 20 cm. These measurements cover the wooden plaque, including its lower balloon end, and exclude the ribbon tails. Both are made from 3 mm birch plywood.

Is this design only for a rainbow baby?

No. It is available for any family who likes the rainbow design. If the rainbow has a special meaning for you, it can be a personal part of your baby's first introduction without adding any extra wording.

Will the finished wood and engraving match the photos exactly?

Grain, shade and engraving tone can vary slightly because this is natural wood. Screen settings can also affect the appearance of the ribbon. The layout is adjusted to suit the length of the names you provide.

When will my personalised plaque be dispatched?

We usually dispatch on the next working day once your personalisation details are confirmed. Delivery time depends on the service chosen at checkout. Please allow for both production and delivery when ordering for a particular date.

How should I use and care for the plaque?

Use it as a decorative photo prop under adult supervision. Keep the plaque and loose ribbon away from your baby's face, remove them after photographs and do not leave them in a cot or sleep space. This is not a toy. Display securely out of children's reach, keep dry and dust gently with a soft, dry cloth.
