How to personalise your wooden name letters

1. Choose the letter height: 16 cm, 23 cm or 27 cm. This is the height of each letter, rather than the width of the complete name.
2. Select the number of letters you need: one initial = 1 letter; ISLA = 4 letters; LAYLA = 5 letters; PLAY = 4 letters. Count repeated letters separately.
3. Choose a painted front colour: use the swatches for one colour across every letter. The back always remains natural wood.
4. Enter your name or letters: enter only the lettering you want, in the correct order. We make the uppercase block-letter design shown in the photos, so Isla becomes ISLA.
5. For a colour mix, complete the optional colour-details box: list every letter and its colour in order, including repeated letters. These instructions replace the single-colour choice for your set. Leave this box blank for all letters in the selected swatch colour.
6. Check the letter count, spelling, height and colour choices before adding the set to your basket.

The price shown after you choose a height and letter count is the total for that complete set. The quantity box orders another copy of the same personalised set; it is not the number of letters.

Mounting and care

Plan the letter spacing first. Apply the sticky pads to the solid natural wooden backs, remove the liners, then position and press the letters onto a suitable clean, smooth, dry indoor surface. Keep the wooden letters dry and dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. These are decorative wall letters, not a children's toy. Install securely out of children's reach.

Is the price for one letter or the whole name?

The starting price is for one letter in the selected height. Choose the full number of letters you need and the displayed price updates to the total for that set. For example, ISLA needs 4 letters, not a quantity of 4 single-letter sets.

How do I count the letters in my name?

Count each letter, including repeated letters: ISLA = 4, LAYLA = 5 and PLAY = 4. The count selected must match the name or letters entered. For more than nine letters or punctuation, please contact us first.

Can I choose different colours for each letter?

Yes. Use the optional colour-details box to list every letter and its colour in order. For example: I – Pastel Pink; S – White; L – Sage Green; A – Pastel Blue. These details replace the single-colour selection for that set, with no extra charge for mixing the listed colours.

Which parts are painted?

Only the decorative front layer is painted. The solid letter-shaped back remains natural unpainted birch wood, including the backing visible between the front motifs. There is no unpainted-front choice in this listing.

Does 16 cm, 23 cm or 27 cm mean the complete name width?

No. These measurements are the height of each letter. The complete width depends on which letters you order and how closely you arrange them. Each letter is approximately 6 mm thick, made from two 3 mm plywood layers.

Can I order a single initial or the word PLAY?

Yes. Choose 1 letter for a single initial or 4 letters for PLAY, then enter the exact letters you want. The decorative toy-themed block-letter design remains the one shown in the photos.

Can I choose another font or supply my own design?

The standard listing uses the uppercase toy-themed letter shapes and cutout style shown in the photos. It has no separate font choice. Please contact us before ordering if you would like a design change, accented characters or a special request.

Are sticky pads included?

Yes. Sticky pads are included with the letters. Use them only on suitable clean, smooth and dry indoor surfaces, check suitability first and follow the supplied instructions. The photos include a simple mounting guide.

How do I order two different names?

Personalise and add each name to your basket separately. Increasing the quantity of one item orders more copies of the same name, height and colour arrangement.

Will the colours and wood grain match the photos exactly?

The photos show the design and available finishes. Real wood grain, hand-painted surfaces and screen colour settings can cause small differences. The backing on every colour remains natural wood.

What if I need the letters for a particular date?
