How to personalise your wooden heart

Use the personalisation fields above the Add to cart button. The photographs show examples; please enter the wording you would like on your own heart.

1. Name or recipient (optional): add a name, two names or a title such as Sarah, Mum or Ella & James. Leave this field blank if you would like a message without a name at the top.
2. Your engraved message (required): enter your complete message, including any date, punctuation and wording you want to appear. Use up to 200 characters, including spaces. Shorter messages leave more room for clear, easy-to-read lettering.
3. Sign-off / who it is from (optional): enter the full closing exactly as you would like it engraved, for example Love, John or From Emily. Leave blank if you do not want a signature.
4. Additional notes (optional): use this field for layout instructions, for example Please keep the date on a separate line. These notes are instructions for us and will not be engraved.

Please check names, dates, spelling and capital letters before ordering. We will arrange the wording to suit the heart, so line breaks and text size may change with the length of your message. For a longer poem, a special layout or wording in another alphabet, please contact us before ordering.

Can I use my own message on the heart?

Yes. You can add your own short message, birthday wishes, an anniversary date, a quotation or a thank you. Enter all the wording you want engraved in the personalisation fields.

Do I have to include a name and a signature?

No. Only the message field is required. Leave the name and sign-off fields blank if you would prefer just your message.

How much wording can I add?

The message field accepts up to 200 characters, including spaces. The name field accepts up to 50 characters and the sign-off field up to 80. Longer wording needs smaller lettering; for a longer poem or an unusual layout, contact us before ordering.

Is the writing engraved or printed?

The wording, leafy decoration and inner heart outline are laser engraved directly into the wood. The small red hearts are painted.

Does the wooden heart come with a stand?

Yes, the matching wooden base is included. Slot the heart into the base to display it upright on a flat surface.

What size is the heart, and what is it made from?

The heart is approximately 14 x 13 cm and is made from 3 mm birch plywood. It has a natural wooden finish, with grain and shade variations that make each piece slightly different.

Can I see a preview before you make it?

Yes, a design preview is available on request. Add your preview request in the additional notes field or contact us before production. Allow time to check and approve your preview before dispatch.

Can I change the wording after placing an order?

Please contact us as soon as possible. We can amend your wording if production has not started.

When will my order be dispatched?

We usually dispatch on the next working day once we have your complete personalisation details and any requested preview approval. Delivery services and estimated times are shown at checkout. Contact us before ordering if you need your gift for a particular date.

Can I request a longer poem or a different design?
